Trampoline

We were jumping on the trampoline

In the backyard in the pale green street lamp lights

Our socks were caked in dirt and the broken fall leaves

We were dancing like we'd danced a thousand times

And when you came down you were flying like a bird

High above the trees like it was the rapture

Then I saw Christ hanging out in the garden

Picking ripe tomatoes

He took my hand in his hand and led me into the house

He made me a sandwich, and asked if I was thirsty
