I'm walking through the forest of my conscience

Stepping on the branches that once held up a bird's nest

Memories fly away leaving broken shells weightless

Taken by the wind it almost made the fall painless

The change of the seasons tell you how you're feeling

Look to the leaves, see the year end nearing

I don't want to leave them feeling they're a victim

Of someone else's dream when they could easily achieve one

But I can see clearly
