WHEN I'M GONE

My mortality is something like an enemy

Not afraid of death, just want to leave a legacy

And some property for generations after me

I'm afraid of never being who I have to be

A coward dies a thousand times before it's happening

My fallen soldiers helping me, they ain't abandon me

I talk about my suicide attempts casually

I'll never do it, but the thought is there annually

My older brother got shot five times, it was black-on-black crime

Luckily, he took it like a G

I asked him what the afterlife was like, he said "dark"
