Tortured by the past, the truth can hurt the mind

So let this moment last and leave it all behind

Like a petal to an earthquake, it's nothing scaled to size

The mistakes that we make we can try to hide with lies

Anxiety's tomorrow and trauma's yesterday,

Though my viewpoint may seem hollow, it's sadly here to stay
