This isn't how I thought it would happen

I mapped it out on paper, thought that it'd be different

I don't think that I'm a very good actor

But I got pretty used to faking being happy in the life that I was living

Hey now, maybe I can break a couple pieces off and not break down

Wait now, if all the things I want have changed, do I change now

I had all those visions of the future cut and sutured

Thought it was a wound, but over time became a tumor
