I watched in anger as you skated on by

Not once did you make any effort to try

No doubt the journey was a fantastic one

But times of trial can mean an end to the fun

Drove around and unwound when we needed a fix

But your sound, yeah we found needed out of the mix

Joined a scene, young and clean, all the friends that we met

And the green was pristine, yeah we got our feet wet

Stayed up late, couldn't wait to take over the world

Shooting straight, wasn't fate, and the plan had unfurled
