Right now my life ain't looking like how I thought it would be

Man I thought my future would be perfect since I was a teen

A college dropout I thought to myself it couldn't be me

I thought I'd marry my last girl but she won't for me

I thought I'd be paying my momma bills at twenty-three

I thought my Dad would never tell me he ain't wanted me

I thought my family wouldn't be torn apart over petty beef

I thought it all would come together if I just believe

I thought I really wouldn't have these problems

But God been showing me the reason I got 'em

He opened my eyes that I need to seek Him first
