I still remember the cut that you had on the left side of your palm

The very first night that you held my hand

It was cut and callused but it felt so soft in mine

That touch was the catalyst

We were destined to end in fire

But I'd watch us burn all night if I could be yours for a while

And you would pretend to be mine
