Looking out the glass hourglass sand falling

Reminiscing about the past while the future stays stalling

Minute hand tracing circles in the air ticking loud

Time goes round and around in this cloud

I thought that it would be different by now

But its right back to the same place somehow

Is it change if the only thing that changed was the year on the page

Does it count when you're stuck in the same cage

Looking out the glass reminiscing about the past

I guess I should have known that those moments wouldn't last

And I can't bring them back but I hope that I can try again

Standing on the edge with a feeling that just died again
