Make no mistake

This isn't a love poem

But I did hear a story about this couple that was married for 67 years

That's 268 seasons 804 months and 24,458 days

When the husband was asked how he could be in love with the same woman for so long

He laughed and said she hasn't been the same woman at all

Maybe that's what makes love last

To dance on the ashes of who we once were

Instead of holding each other hostage to the person we knew

I've always feared losing you or becoming lost in you

No one tells you the bravest thing you can do is open up the gates of your rib cage

And let someone leave their fingerprints on your heart
