Better Days

I been looking for better days, I been looking for a slower time

Been trying to change my ways, trying not to lose what's mine

And all the times I waited but it never came

Can't win the prize unless you're gonna play the game

And all the things I thought but I ain't ever say

And now you're gone, I had to leave, I blew away

Now I sit back and think about when I was younger

When I was still full of life and still had that hunger

I would think about the future and I was still full of wonder

Couldn't help but be consumed by skirts and what was under

Now I'm cynical and solitaire, don't care about much
