Christmas Sage

Take me back to the days of "used to be" when I was just a child

The whole house was full of smiles with presents in a pile

The pine scent would fill the air, and not a care on Christmas Eve

Mom and Dad would tuck us in and hope we'd fall asleep

Christmas sage wafts its way throughout the home

Turkey gravy made by loving hands while candles glow

Neighbors at the door, are singing carols out of tune

I really miss that beautiful bliss, so far away and gone so soon

Toys wrapped with Christmas wishes, and fancy dishes piled high

Will Santa come this year? Do reindeer really fly?
