Thankful

My mom and daddy raised me up from when I was a boy,

And I never had to wonder where my next meal would come from

They raised me up the way they should and taught me wrong from right,

And I always knew they'd be right there, a steady guiding light

And I'm thankful for the people God put along my way,

and I'm thankful for the wisdom that they've shown me every day,

And I'm thankful that as time goes by, I know I'll be okay

Oh I'm thankful for these things and more, I'm thankful every day

My grandma and my grandpa were always there to lend a hand

My mamaw is a saint of God, my pap was my best friend
