Greater Things

Blessed with twenty-four hours everyday

And even if we get it wrong we get another groundhogs day

Another chance to get it right, make it bright

And if we pull through we'll make it to the light

But the inner critic schemes his gimmick makes us mimic

The Jekyll and Hyde situation

We at war with ourselves getting in our own way

It's like I against I until I finally prevail

Self sabotaging attitude instead of gratitude

Leaves us spiraling into lower altitude

Neglect our latitude displace our longitude

Till we lose our crosshairs and can't coordinate
