New Moon Hunting

As I stare across the abyss wondering where you are tonight

I look up towards the sky and I hope that you're all right

Cause I'm so lonely since you left me, been thinking that every day

But I hear you say it's ok in your own little way

The August chill it looms as I feel the wind in my hair

Then I take a look beside me and I realize you're not there

So I take a look at my arm at the tattoo I got for you

But I can't help but feel so empty no matter what I do

From the day that you left me until the day I die

I'll forever keep my eyes open, open towards the sky
