My hearts been in a chokehold or maybe a full Nelson

Thoughts of settling down feel so cold and almost hellish

I can't tell if life's moving faster or I'm just prosthetic

Not living up to what I aspire to be, lately I've been doubting my trekking

Am I meant to be doing this, I swear my mind is so cruel

One moment, I have what it takes, next moment, I feel like a fool

While climbing up the ladder, I try to remind myself that I'm truly a jewel

And if I work for what I want, then it'll come true

But just the certainty of expecting the creeping of doubt make my head ring

My stomach turns, anxiety brews, even though it's just as slight as right and left wing

Set the politics aside, was never one for the dissecting
