What a fine time remembering back there

Time just like Lucille she picked a real fine time to go

There was danger and let downs but we still did ok

An the newcomers in a land where most families never get away

Well we got away, to better money, better jobs and brighter days

But it's still a real fond memory, almost 50 years

So I'm thinking of the past on this made-up holiday
