These pictures of you when you were a child

Don't help to keep at bay

The feelings behind this now weathered heart

Memories purged of the bridges burned, and life turning on a dime

If you don't want to look back, and say to yourself "this dog never got it's day"

Life isn't beautiful 'cause it lasts

The significance of every single moment we have

Gets amplified under the weight of time

And now I feel these tears start to fall at last

I think this is what I've needed for so long

A chance to forgive myself for everything that I have done wrong
