Lyrics
A cloud caged in darkness
My fingers swell as love dwindles
Feather teasing ice kisses
I fail
Picked up I can't stand the loud voice
Over at the market
I lost myself
My neighbor says
She found me in the 15th aisle
Looking for rich buttery creamy chocolate
Yes oh yes to suppress the
Angst of pre menstrual syndrome
Anyway I'm elated
I was saved in the 15th aisle
The frozen food section
She would have never found me
I would have died
Nailed to two popsicle sticks
Walking out my door again
I know that lettuce and carrots are
For rabbits only so
I need a real man
Someone who can eat a hearty beef stew and be my voice
I don't think so
With my cramps on the table and my head in a cup of coffee
His legs are straddled
On the smooth curve of the chair
Voices in the distance
Tell me to keep my heart
With a cup of tea
It's wonderful the rhythm
Of women's poetry
It carries a cadence of burden and Ricochets the pleasing smile
For the towering justice
High cliff wall around it
It flourishes from the 3rd chakra
Frightening screaming
It flourishes from the 3rd chakra
Frightened screaming
A flower laden with insecurity
But blossoming strength and unwieldy power after all
It's wonderful
The rhythm of women's poetry
