Christmas was a joyous time for us, a happiest time for us

My mother and father done what they could to give us, what they could give us

Didn't have a lot of money, and so I was thankful it was a happy time for the family

Woke up this morning and I'm feeling so blessed, it took me a minute to gather myself

Christmas to me is the most memorable time for family

And that's what my mother and father instilled in us

My father made it a point to let us realize, because we come into the close of this year

it was because of God's grace and mercy

And before we played with any toy, we had to pray and give God thanks

So it was more than just the toys and the gifts and all the celebration

It was for our family to be in love and in peace with God

knowing that it was God's grace and mercy that brought us all safe and sound

to that one particular day, Christmas
