Boomplay Awards Showcase: Willy Paul

The Boomplay awards are back and we are happy to announce talented singer Willy Paul as the first recipient of a plaque this year. The 'Lenga' crooner was awarded in a brief ceremony hosted at his Saldido studios in Nairobi for hitting over 5 million streams.

Pozze currently has more than 11 million streams on Boomplay with multiple chart topping hits to his name.

His most streamed track on the app is 'Liar' featuring his signee Miss P. The song has over 1 million streams.

Fall in Love also featuring Miss P. is Willy Paul's second most streamed track and is just 7k shy of hitting the 1 million mark.

Mmmh ft. Rayvanny is his third most streamed track with over 980k streams.

Willy Paul's debut album dubbed 'Songs of Solomon' that dropped towards the end of last year has already surpassed the 1 million mark.

The singer continues to boast of great numbers with each and every release. His last three songs are all performing well on the app.

Willy Paul has worked with the likes of Alaine, Nandy, Samantha J, Harmonize, Sauti Sol, Mejja, Khaligraph Jones, Size 8, Klons and more!

On getting his plaque Pozze said: "Boomplay has been a strong ally in the music industry, by changing the narrative, because for the longest time artistes didn't get support from varied stakeholders financially and in other ways. I thank my fans for constantly streaming and enjoying my music.

"Artistes cannot depend on shows alone and need other streams of income like Boomplay" he added.
