Stasis Prey is a five-piece Zambian rock band from Lusaka founded by lead singer Tumelo.
The band currently consists of Tumelo, lead guitarist Chana, rhythm guitarist Syn and bassist Lerato. The band doesn't have a permanent drummer.
The band was founded in 2013 by Tumelo after taking an indefinite hiatus from his previous heavy metal project, Fundamental Element. Stasis Prey was formed as an avenue to explore a different sound with emphasis on abstract lyrics with a positive message.
