LIL CHRIS

Rapper Lil Chris, born Chris Ward is an emerging recording artist raised in the city of Chicago who grew up all over the Westside with his brother and two sisters where he attended elementary school until being kicked out for always rapping in class. He then finished out his elementary years at another school where he became one of the top point guards of his basketball team.

Lil Chris enjoyed basketball all the up until his highs school years, his grades began to drop and he was no longer allowed to play basketball for the school. At this time everything seemed to come crashing down around him. This caused Lil Chris to turn the streets where he would spit rhymes over beats produced by his “childhood friend” Mush Millions.

Lil Chris (one-third of the Westside group MIC including Mikey Dollaz and IL Will) began setting the Westside K-town area on fire with his rhymes and later rocking out major shows alongside the likes of Yo Gotti, Bone Crusher, and Young Buck.

The Westside spitter debuted his first solo mixtape “Money Talks” hosted by DJ Moondawg in 2013. The mixtape included 16 tracks and features from other Chicago artists like IL Will, and Brick Squad Monopoly’s own BoDeal. Lil Chris was the first to ever deliver a full length bop- inspired project.

The “Bop” dance craze started on the Westside of Chicago and Lil Chris dived in head first releasing bop inspired records such as “Automatic” and “Bop Like Me”

Lil Chris has been a trailblazer in the music industry garnering the attention of major blogs and publications such as Elevator, The Fader, Rap Genius, and Fakeshore Drive.

He has also gained notoriety from his song writing talent which is featured on the tracks of multiple artists as well as his new artists “Thot Kingz”. Lil Chris is not just known for his bop crazed anthems, but also inspirational tracks like “Keep Ya Head Up” which tells the story of a young girl and also “2 Fake” where he addresses all the fake and phony individuals he has encountered.

Lil Chris has an amazing stage presence and performance talent that he hopes one day allows him to perform alongside the likes of many musical greats such as Lil Wayne, Meek Mills, The Game, and Rick Ross.

Lil Chris has also been featured on both of DJ Moondawg’s highly anticipated bop projects “We Invented Bop” Vol .1 & 2. Lil Chris continues to write and release music that will take the entire industry by storm with production, features and especially visuals on YouTube that will for sure keep his fans entertained.
