LUNAREI

Lunarei; two accomplished songwriters came together over a love of progressive metal and contemporary pop to write hopeful and uplifting music they believe in. Based in south-east UK, musicians Dan Morris and Jamie Brown aim to create a unique blend of influences like Periphery, Coheed and Cambria, Bon Iver and The Japanese House, with the only rule in the studio being "if it sounds cool, it's going in". Before meeting each other, both fronted various bands over the years leading up to Lunarei's creation, often being the sole or part songwriter spanning various genres. When founding Lunarei, both agreed to share the song writing and musicianship 50/50, with the goal of creating a sound bigger and better than anything they've individually done before.

Their first release; Paint the Waves, was an energetic and varied four-track EP featuring acrobatic guitar lines, experimental electronic sound design and soaring vocals. Now the band have just released their second EP; Erase and Replace, which aims to create a heavier, riff-driven sonic landscape whilst tackling darker lyrical themes.
