Jake James is a Cincinnati-native, Florida-based artist and producer of ambient R&B and melodic Hip-Hop music. Since receiving his first guitar at 8 years old, music has been a developing passion of his. Jake James released his first EP's "Reflect" and "Close II You" in 2017-2018 after experimenting with various artist names and sounds over the years. Such projects featured hits like "Brand New" (feat. Danny Morales), "Here" (produced by Day Bit), and "Psalm 23" (feat. Jazmine French).
2018 and 2019 were a breakout years in many ways for Jake James. As he rolled out singles with producers Chris Howland and WYLD and artists Hyper Fenton, Sajan Nauriyal, Montell Fish, SEU Worship's Sydney Wilson (and several more) he found himself on well-renown playlists like New Music Friday, New Music Friday Christian, HITS UP, Fresh Finds: Hiptronix and GoodChristianMusicBlog. His summer-bop feature on "Take Over" with London-based producer WYLD and Toronto-based artist Shopé also received #3 on UK's Top Christian Charts.
