Superherozero

Malik Taylor, better known by his stage name SuperheroZero, is a 26 year old rapper and songwriter from Oregon. Zero has a rather unique ethnic background being part African American and part Thai, as his grandmother immigrated to the U.S. from Thailand. Zero is from a family of artists, with his father, numerous uncles and cousins all having made music or still currently making music to this day. His cousin has also made a name for himself in the battle rap scene under the pseudonym ‘Statick Elektrisity’.
SuperheroZero is very much a new school rapper however does not fall into the highly criticized ‘mumble rap’ sub genre. He has an uniquely aggressive style of rapping, which is new to Hip Hop, but with that said he does not substitute lyricism for aggression. Super is a very versatile artist, who is willing to cover a range of topics and emotions and can easily be named alongside any current mainstream artist today.
Although he has only released a handful of songs so far, he has already achieved great success. His song ‘Smokepurpp’ has almost reached 2 million views on Soundcloud, he is featured on Skinnyfromthe9’s mixtape ‘Who got next’ which can be found on Topmixtapes.com, also has his lyrics featured on Genius.com and had a lyrical AMV produced for the track ‘Window Darkness’ which can be found on Youtube. So needless to say if Zero can achieve all this from just a few tracks, there is no telling where he could be after a few more years of hard work.
