Growing up on a wide variety of musical genres, singer/songwriter and electronic producer Maria Shiel has been releasing and collaborating with artists from across the globe since 2007 under various pseudonyms but most recently as vocalist/producer 'MS44'.
In 2011 she established Dublin based record label and collaborative platform, KYO Records, in order to promote online musical collaboration encompassing music of all genres. Set up specifically to help artists who are working on their own, she has been able to work with a wide variety of artists throughout Europe and from countries as far afield as China, Russia, Australia and the USA.
In 2015 she decided to return to the world of songwriting and released her debut EP, Star, described by Pure M magazine as as 'a beautiful mix of electronica inspired acoustics that brings with it thoughts of other female artists like Florence Welch'.
In 2017 she released Americana themed single 'Call Home' at the The Dripping Springs Songwriters Festival in Texas which received national airplay in the USA.
She has shared stages with Paddy Casey, Damien Rice and Glen Hansard of The Frames and is now working on her solo album due out late 2019/early 2020.
