Gui Machado is synonymous with precise mixing and storytelling in NYC. His sets are never flat, always dynamic. He can read crowds and travel through genres as the night evolves. Gui was born in Rio de Janeiro and is inspired by many diverse genres from House music to Bossa Nova. He started playing instruments at 7 years old and when he’s not djing he is constantly working on new productions.
His producer alias is MyShadow. This year he has released an EP through Musica
Gourmet and LW Recordings. LW Recordings has artists like Amelie Lens,
Sonny Fodera and Honey Dijon on their roster. He released a track on Children of the Future records in a compilation with Oliver Koletzki, Nick Warren, Time, Armen Miran, Zone+ and Birds of Mind amongst many other top producers. This compilation was on the Top 10 Chart of Beatport Organic House. He released an EP with Flow Records in October with Flow & Zeo. Musica Gourmet has recently signed 3 tracks for an EP to be released in the near future.
As a Dj, Machado has performed alongside James Murphy, Metronomy,
Trentmoller, Guy Gerber, Blondish, Adam Port, &Me, Rampa, Martin Buttrich, Ray Mang, Dicky Trisco, Lee Foss, HVOB, Goldcap, Audiofly, Nick Monaco, Kaz James, Art Department, Raw Main, Eddie C, Culoe de Song to name a few.
