Cape Verdean American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, June Freedom, released his debut album, Anchor Baby, independently on June 18, 2021. The debut was widely acclaimed internationally for exemplifying how his rich heritage can produce a genre-bending sound that is deeply rooted in his transatlantic upbringing—fusing alt-pop, worldbeat, zouk, hip-hop, kizomba and Afrosoul.
