The Division es un proyecto musical creado en 2019 con la salida no oficial de la canción The Division, los primeros álbumes (hasta el sencillo Day) fueron mezclas experimentales, no fue hasta 2023 que se decidió sacar el Especial 2J (2023) para empezar a retomar este proyecto, después se empezó a considerar la idea de sacar el primer álbum original (La Última Vuelta), pero al ser un proceso algo largo se optó por sacar antes un álbum nuevo al estilo antiguo de The Division (The Return), además de una serie de álbumes recopilatorios juntando lo mejor de este.
