Fela (YES, that is his original birth name) also known as “B-Fela” is an Afro beat and Hip Hop artist who was half raised in the Mainland area of Lagos “Alagbole, Akute” and the other half in the streets of Birmingham, United Kingdom, around the Erdington area.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria he moved to the UK at age 10. The Mixture of the 2 contrasting cultures is the reason for the vast diversity and uniqueness in both his music intake and output.
At the age of 8 he found his craving for music, hence he took up playing the drums and piano at his Local church. He started to write music at the age of 16, due to him watching lots of grime freestyle videos from the likes of Skepta, Chipmunk, BBK, Kano, Wiley, Devilman, Sox, RD, Stardom etc. Whilst also being heavily influenced and inspired by his good friend WHOISPDP, who worked with the likes of lil skies, lil yacthy, lil flexico and many more.
Him and his friends originally formed a rap group called “Bandana klan” where B-Fela was then known as “felabandana”, that has now evolved into a rap collective representing Birmingham “brumville” consisting of 6 members. B-Fela from Brumville is still on the rise and moving rapidly up the ladder in the music scene his collective.
