SpOOky ThE ManiaC, musician and songwriter, born Gabriel Ohene Kwasi Addai. Composer of the Twitter Spaces Theme song. Takoradi born and has 3 nominations from the 2020 Western Music Awards. Gabriel Ohene Kwasi Addai (a.k.a SpOOky ThE ManiaC) was born to Mr. George Addai and the late Ms. Veronica Aikins. He is a Songwriter and Musician from the Western Region of Ghana specifically Takoradi (The Oil City).

SpOOky ThE ManiaC is a multitalented HipLife artiste with the ability to sing, rap, and write authentic and message inspired music.

From a lower income earning family growing up, Life was not so smooth for Gabriel, otherwise known as ThE ManiaC, and the experiences he lived through are the base material for most of his songs.
The Takoradi based musician started professionally recording music in 2013 after he completed his Senior High School Education in Fijai SHS. His love for music was founded off the back of being surrounded by musical people, his father was a Choirmaster and his mother was the Alto part leader in their church choir. He used to sing at school worship services every week for many years until he stopped, after he was laughed at for doing a gospel rap song which broke his spirit.
He didn’t sing much after that incident but fell back on his second love which was reading and writing, he read anything and everything and was noted as a very fluent English student when he was nicknamed #EnglishMan. He is not afraid to explore with his music. He is currently working with musicians and instrumentalists from Trinidad, Jamaica, USA, Canada, South Africa, to name a few.

He is a really skilled writer, occasionally writing stories and poems in his leisure. Upon completion of Junior High School in 2010, he met a friend (Frank Boakye) who also had a musical desire but in the field of instrumentation and they both sparked their musical dreams from there.
