Born to Afrobeat musician, Nesta kariuki (Nkw) developed a love for music at an early age of 10 in the year 2013. He used to perform cover songs of various artists as he entertained local audience and created sensation music. This childhood experience helped him shape his musical journey and as a teenager he was already writing his own music and performing at various events in his home town.
When he was done with his secondary education in the year 2021, he joined a music band called Nadra mziki in Mathare at Farida Girls foundation where he learnt various skills in music like playing the guitar ,not only did he learn about music ,but learnt also about some important values in the society.
He decided to focus on building his professional career and released his own music and performed at various shows. like many other musician he was looking for a breakthrough.
When Nesta (NKW) decided touring, his soulful voice and haunting lyrics immediately gathered a loyal fan base around him. His style of music is not just limited to afrobeat but also influenced R&B, dancehall, and hiphop. The melodic mix creates a distinctive sounds that intrigues and transports his listeners.
