Born to Jamaican and Nigerian parents and raised in Ireland, the Dublin-based rapper JyellowL has drawn on all three origins to create a distinctly powerful sound that is radically individual.
The 21-year-old artist is dynamic in his lyricism and is fuelled by political conviction and a leading voice emerging out of Ireland's rap scene. He released his debut album '2020 DIvision' last year which followed two groundbreaking EP's and a string of international headline performances. Once his single 'Ozone’ was selected to feature on the in-game soundtrack for the mammoth EA Sports FIFA 20, J’s career really started taking off. In 2020 his single 'Oh Lawd' then featured on the soundtrack of the BBC hit series 'Normal People’, he picked up BBC 1Xtra 'Track of the Week', and featured in the new BBC3 series ''The Rap Trip: Underground Scenes Uncovered'.
