Vesce [ves] formed in South London was born out of friendship and a passion for creating organic emotive music. Enjoying Soul, Funk, R&B and Electronic genres, the duo rely heavily on live room recordings processed and edited digitally. The focus is on capturing something of the human condition & the feeling at that moment.
Since their debut in 2017 with Self Edit EP, the pair have expanded their collaborative process further, ensuring that every project is a shared experience amongst friends and artists, a communal identity which has become integral to Vesce.
Fronted by Raf and Dan, Vesce has always been supported by a musical-family of writers and artists, from Alex (keys), Tessa (vocals), Joe (vocals / songwriting), Alan (art direction).
The process of creation has remained unchanged since their inception: Encouraging spontaneous moments with a continual refinement of composition and sound. This is reflected in their visual work. Within the bounds of any given material, They are focused on the feeling and emotion behind what they do.
Digitally re-editing elements from live recordings while capturing spontaneous moments in the studio, their music is the result of an ‘old-meets-new’ way of creating music.
