Sitting on the desolate streets of a mountainous Filipino town and wondering if the bus will every come, pharmdj waits with Clyde Harris to catch their last possible ride to a 7,000 person festival in Kabankalan, Philippines. Barely making it to his set pharmdj brought his infectious energy (along with fire truck hoses apparently) to the stage to complete his 4th tour through the country of constant festivals.
pharmdj continuously brings contagious energy to his sets, which he balances with a deep and smooth mixing style. He incorporates classic samples from blues, rock, and African rhythms mixed with more contemporary familiar beats to conjure up a fresh grooving house vibe. Whether on a beach in Bali or Guam, Avalon in Hollywood for after-hours, or the famous underground club TIME in Manila, pharmdj drives the crowd to dance and experience something unique. Now in Denver, he has played Neon Baby, Beta, Mirus (Temple), MILK, Vybe and others establishing himself as a versatile and creative DJ/producer mixing up live sampling with afro-house, deep, disco, funk, tech house and techno to fit the vibe of the venue.
While not new to production, pharmdj’s biggest release happened 7/20 with two tracks on Material Series Records alongside the likes of Raffa FL, Hot Since 82, Monkey Safari, Mihalis Safras, Gene Farris, Darius Syrossian, and plenty more. 3/21 will be his next release, titled Respirona, on House of Hustle.
