Lungwazi
He hails from Durban and is one of eight siblings. It all started at the age of 13, when he was in grade 5 at Khalipha Senior Primary School in Umlazi Z-Section. It was there that he was introduced to music when he had heard the school choir perform. He quickly made arrangements to audition to join the choir, and to his surprise he had successfully done so. His love and natural talent for making music grew and never diminished to this very day.
Along the way, he was influenced by many local and international artists, such as: Ringo Madlingozi, Dwele, Boyz II Men, Joe Nina, Musiq Soulchild, Thandiswa Mazwai & Anthony Hamilton to name but a few. His own unique and proudly South African R&B style appeals to various people and cultures, both the young and old, with the sole objective of unifying them through the universal language of music.
Notable collaborations include:
Pitch Black Afro - “I Want People to Know” (Produced by Verd Eaton)
DJ Twitty - “Believe in Love”
Pitch Black Afro - “Paradise”
Bistah - Stressed Out (Produced by Gemini Major)...more
