Hi :) I was born in Milano, Italia, in 1996 but quickly moved to grow up in Aberdeen, Scotland, at the age of 4. My dad, Fabrizio Conti, played jazz drums in the Aberdeen Jazz Orchestra. Jazz music constantly resonated throughout the house, from Count Basie to The Yellowjackets. I picked up the guitar at around 11 and was inspired by 70s era rock and roll, particularly Pink Floyd, Toto and Led Zeppelin. 90s Hip-Hop became very prominent throughout my high school and university years. With time, a fusion of jazz, Hip-Hop and blues introduced me to Neo-Soul and Lo-Fi Hip-Hop with heavy inspiration towards Tom Misch, Mac Ayers, FKJ and L'Indecís. Putting that fusion to practice brought Crispy Beats in January 2020....more
