Tripple Jones

My name is Tripple Jones I'm a rap artist from Slidell, La. specifically the Possum Hollow/Lincoln Park area.


I began writing poetry when I was maybe 6 or 7. Originally inspired to rap by my older cousin Agoff he's a pretty popular rapper living in Southern California. My dads was apart of a rap trio. He's done shows nationally and internationally. So he's always been pushing me to make music and brand myself. All the way back to age 6. He performed at the first SXSW so that's a goal of mine.


I get inspired by my life I've been through a lot in my 26 years of living. My music is a direct reflection of my life and those that I'm surrounded by.


I would classify it as Hip Hop/Rap. It's a culmination of contemporary rap and modern trap music. I rap on a wide range of instruments and I don't stray away from love songs or uplifting conscience rap as well. Some of my music is HEAvily influenced by drug and street culture but never promoting it always speaking based on circumstance.


My brand name is Grandera. Grand Transen is an alternative stage name for me. So my friends called me Trip or Grand for short. Grand by definition is magnificent and imposing in character, its elite and upper echelon and that's what me and my Brand represents the ultimate Quality. In addition Grand is 1,000 where I'm from keeping it 100 is true and fact. I'm a go an extra step and keep it 1,000 keep it so real and so honest. This is the Era of Grand. It's Grandera.
