TINAL is a Nigerian musical collective consisting of artists Brucil, Wizdraque, WavyBoy X and Smilez OnGod. TINAL serves as an acronym for "This Is Not A Label”, which establishes the purpose of their unison – fuelled by their ambition to create music they believe in as a family.
Formed in 2022, the members who are friends came together to express themselves creatively and share ideas as TINAL. With a divergent array of musical interests, the collective sought to exploit their varying creative backgrounds to build a unit that was cohesive in thinking yet diverse style.
Coming from Uyo, Nigeria where afrobeats music takes the centre stage of popular music, the collective recognized that in order to experiment with the sound palettes they naturally gravitated to, they had to do it themselves.
