FJØRA was born Alexandra Petkovski. At an early age, she was classically trained in piano, then quickly expanded into the world of improvisational jazz. By her teens, she was writing original songs and touring America in a band with her two sisters. By her early 20s, she was scoring films and completing her Masters of Commercial Music in Composition and Arranging at Belmont U in Nashville, TN.
After beginning pursuit of her PhD in Music Composition (Film Scoring) at the Steinhardt Graduate School of Music at NYU, FJØRA decided to focus solely on creating music on a songwriting, production, and compositional level within the industry...more
