Groningen, the Netherlands. In October 2020 Whipster (featuring Jurgen Veenstra) relaesed the song A Perpetual Longing on vinyl as part of a split single with the Dutch band Avery Plains. It is our first new release since Forlorn for the music & art project Where The Candy Beetle Dwells (2015, Uitgeverij Philip Elchers) from Willem Kolvoort. Debut Strange (2002) and Road Apple (2005) were released by My First Sonny Weissmuller Recordings and distributed by Konkurrent. The EP I Like To See You Smile (For A While) was released by Rotten Windmill Records. Whipster played at the festivals Noorderslag (2003), Eurosonic (1998 & 2006), Nederland - België (Paradiso, 2003), Dunk! (Zottegem, 2007) and opened for J. Mascis + The Fog, Keith Caputo, Aereogramme, Grandaddy, Steve Wynn, Hugo Race & True Spirit and more....more
