Materianera is a project created in 2014 by Yendry Fiorentino (singer), Davide "Enphy" Cuccu (synth) and Alain Diamond (synth and drum machines).
In the mid-90's Alain and Davide met at the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory of Turin, from where they graduated in Piano and Music Teaching. Then their ways parted and they began to pursue their own sounds and genres: Davide answered the on-the-road life call by joining Stiliti, Statuto, The Soulful Orchestra and The Bluebeaters (ska/rocksteady/soul italian bands); Alain refined his live dj skills and, after obtaining residency in several Turin's nightclub, set up the "Music Lab" studio where began to produce his own electro-house tracks and founded "Enharmonic Digital" and "Tainted Music" labels.
One fortunate day Alain's brother brought to the Lab a university mate, named Yendry Fiorentino, who had recently reached the final in the X-Factor italian edition. Born in 1993 in Santo Domingo, she's been into Soul and R’n’B since childhood and devoted her life to singing and making music. Currently she is also working with Caravan Trio project and singing with the resident on-screen band on the TV show “Fratelli di Crozza”.
After releasing "Supernova" EP in 2015, Materianera is going to release the new album "Abyss" by the end of 2017, preceeded by the single "Space". This last production continues the emphasis on the catchy hooks of electronic visionary beats flirting with soul sounds, analog synths and drum machines....more
