As Drum and Bass becomes the ecstasy flowing through Britains high energy club and squat veins, everything about Runnah's approach, attitude, technique and rise springs from the original spirit D&B was founded on. Established in June 1995 in Essex, England, Tom Purcell, now performing as Runnah, is an encyclopaedic fan and ambitiously talented DJ without the like-follow-'check my soundcloud bruh' hyperbole; just real, wonky baselines and drum loops grounded in the church that brought our original junglist and jump up fathers together.
Since 2014, Tom performed under the name 'Purcell' and has provided the scene with dutty tunes at events all across Europe, from Sofia to Amsterdam, and free parties to festivals. He has built up quite the portfolio spinning for events such as Innovation, Invaderz, HMSU and many, many more!
Since his re branding and rebirth from Purcell to Runnah, Tom intends on expanding his sound and bringing clean, fresh rhythms to the Drum and Bass scene, promising that he will be the Charles Darwin of the D&B evolution revolution as he brings out more solo releases and carries on working with Britain's unmatched up and coming breakthrough artists....more
