Lyrica is a hip hop performing artist, from Long Island, NY. She started her music career in 2013 with her first mixtape release via DatPiff, called RealityVsDreams, executive produced by Kraze Beats. She fell in love with lyrics at the age of 12 when her father wrote a poem for her to recite, at her maternal grandmother's Homegoing Service.
Being the youngest of 6 children, she didn't have much control over what music was played in the house. She followed the music tastes of her parents and older brothers and sisters; which ranged from Noreaga, Nas, DMX, The Lox and the 70's era of music. She is inspired by Nas, WuTang, The Lox, Eve and Kanye West. Her lyrical ability is comparable to Rapsody. Lyrica was recently told, "You are illmatic." by the legendary DJ Scratch after she spit a sweet 16 for him. Her notable traits are her wordplay abilities and exciting stage presence that commands and directs attention. Lyrica’s fans, known as Insomniacs, are deeply connected to the emotional storytelling captured in Lyrica’s music.
Lyrica has recently release 2 EPs, "Notes To Self" on all DSPs. "Set The Tone" is a free play, available on AudioMack & Soundcloud. Singles released in 2020 include, "Bugs Bunny" and "Seasons Change", available on all DSPs.
