At nearly 30 years old, Lodonou Edem better known under the name of "Sethlo Champion" brings a second wind to Togolese hip-hop, whether solo or on featurings that make fanatics of this form of music wiggle their hips, both at the Togo and abroad.
Born in Hahotoe (southern Togo, mining town), rapping mainly in mina (southern Togo dialect) and in French, "Sethlo Champion" was crowned "Artist of the Year 2016" at the "The heroes" ceremony., 2017 edition, after being crowned "Revelation of the Year 2015" at the "Togo All music Awards". While waiting for the release of his 1st opus, E. Lodonou is ambitious!
Fundamental reason which led him to propel some of his clips on international channels like "Trace Africa", and to move towards featurings with Ivorian peers.
He does not hesitate either to multiply scenic outings during various major artistic events on the national level: music festivals; promotional campaigns of the main mobile phone companies present in Togo, or even the first part of famous artists passing through Lomé such as "Magic System" in December 2017...
The preparation of his first opus has also led him to reframe his communication on social networks.
"Sethlo Champion" sings of love and the disappointments that go with it, patriotism, perseverance in the face of life's vicissitudes and rebels against promiscuity in most of his compositions.
With the hits "Divi deka nam" & "Djaskele", he established his reputation among Togolese hip-hop music lovers since the holidays of 2014.
"Sethlo Champion" was part of the list (published in early 2017) of influential Togolese in the year 2016; a list concocted by the "New African" Magazine.
