Bringing a bright and often hazy lyrical flow to a variety of production approaches, Los Angeles-based rapper Wes Period debuted in 2011 and had a sizeable discography by the time he landed a major-label deal with help from Grammy-nominated songwriter Justin Tranter. Period has continued to develop his unconventional if pop-oriented style with the 2018 album Pretty Words and equally individualistic 2019 singles such as "My Benz."
