Born and raised in Southeast Kansas, Sean Jones started writing lyrics in high school but didn’t take his talent seriously until after college where he debuted his first mixtape Welcome on the music app Soundcloud in late 2018.
Inspired by artists like Eminem, Russ, J Cole, NF, Travis Scott, Hopsin, Tupac, and XXXTentacion, Sean prides himself on cleverly-worded, poignant lyrics and versatile flow styles. His mixtape Welcome and the Chapter Two EPs are full of raw and intimate lyrics about his own life since the death of his brother Chris Jones--which sparked his revitalized passion in music-- and the personal battles he experiences.
After the release of the Chapter Two EPs Sean had released multiple singles of various styles and hip-hop sub genres while working on the album, The Seven Deadly Songs, a sub-genre busting project that takes listeners through each of the seven deadly sins one song at a time, while encompassing an overarching theme of a journey to success and acknowledgment.
