Working as Venetian Snares, Canadian producer Aaron Funk helped define the electronic subgenre breakcore with obtuse time signatures playing at impossibly fast tempos. An absurdist sense of humor touched much of his work, though he could also tap into a bleakness on albums like his 2007 soundtrack My Downfall. He was wildly prolific throughout the 2000s, producing multiple acclaimed albums such as his 2005 high-water mark Rossz Csillag Alatt Született.
