James Hartnett

James Hartnett's intricate musical depth is the culmination of over two decades of
playing, writing, producing and performing. His DJ sets are a precise balance of what the
audience thinks they want, and what they don't yet know they need. Blending deep bass
lines, driving rhythms, emotional melodies, and the textures of minimal house and
techno, James creates a bouncy groove that is all his own.


In the past five years in NYC, James has risen from his humble beginnings as a subway performer/recording studio intern, to becoming an established Audio Engineer and producer working with the worlds biggest names in dance music, pop and hip hop, and
world renowned companies such as Boiler Room, The Brooklyn Mirage and the
infamous Quad Studios. While he is equally skilled as a DJ, producer and engineer, it is
clear that James is a musician first.


Original works by James have been published by labels including: Hotboi Records,
Audiophile Deep and OKNF Collective. With forthcoming releases on
Audiophile Records, SOUP, and Eukaryota James will be showcasing his
eclectic creations.
